Citing customer demand, Green Hat Consulting has made the JMS version of their market leading GH Tester automated test tool available ahead of schedule.

Green Hat Consulting automates JMS testing with early release of GH Tester

LONDON – March 22nd, 2005 - Green Hat Consulting has today released version 3.1.0 of GH Tester, their market leading test tool for messaging. Version 3.1.0 supports JMS, including TIBCO EMS, SonicMQ JMS and IBM WebSphere MQ. Although the formal launch of the tool is scheduled for May, customer demand prompted Green Hat to release a subset of the functionality early.

"Customer response to the new release has been fantastic," said Peter Cole, pre-sales consultant, "with JMS built-in, wide support for XML, and a brand new user interface, the product is even more useful than before". IBM WebSphere MQ users have been examining the product's functionality and all have agreed that significant time can be saved on any JMS project using GH Tester 3.1.

The plethora of different messaging protocols supported by version 3.1 of the product allows wider use of the product among existing customers, providing compelling ROI on enterprise deals. The official release of GH Tester 3.1 is expected towards the end of May, boasting automated testing features for HTTP, SOAP, TCP and UDP and the traditional JMS and TIBCO Rendezvous (RV). Development on the next release is scheduled to start soon, and Green Hat’s existing customers are invited to submit requests for new functionality by the close of May to stand a chance of inclusion in version 3.2.

With partnerships with major test tool vendors such as Mercury on the cards, customers are keen to learn about integration with TestDirector and similar products. "Although we have a good story with existing customers on test management integration", comments Cole, "we want to make the integration closer, exposing more functionality. The partnerships we are pursuing will expose our test metrics to the major test management tools, with little or no additional integration work".
